Conops vesicularis
Conops vesicularis is a small fly of the thick-headed flies family. I found this male enjoying the warmth of my greenhouse. The larvae of this species are endoparasites of large Hymenoptera such as carpenter bees or hornets including Asian hornet. By weakening and killing the queen, they weaken and destroy the swarm.
